SIMPLE STEPS

When to Use
Apply every 4-5 weeks during the growing season for best results.

Pro Tip: For maximum performance, mix with Coast of Maine Planting
Soil for Tomatoes & Vegetables, BAR HARBOR BLEND™ Potting Soil, or
CASTINE BLEND™ Raised Bed Mix.

Containers

  • Apply 2–3 tablespoons per gallon of soil, mixing into the top 2 inches of soil.
  • To maintain existing containers, water thoroughly and allow the water to absorb before feeding for best results.

Transplantin

  • Use 2 teaspoons per quart of soil when transplanting.
  • Place the transplant in a prepared hole and backfill with the enriched
    soil mixture.

Preparing New Garden Beds and Planting

  • Mix ½ to 1 pound (1½–3 cups) of fertilzer per 5 square feet of garden
    space.
  • Apply in early spring or late fall, working the fertilizer into the soil to a depth of 3 inches. Water thoroughly before planting.

Top-Dressing Established Garden Beds and Plantings

  • Use 1 pound (3 cups) of fertilizer per 10 square feet of garden space
    after the last freeze.
  • Work into the soil to a depth of 3 inches and water thoroughly.
  • Reapply mid-season if necessary for continued plant health.

MAINTENANCE

For best results be sure the fertilizer is in direct contact with the soil. Do
not apply near water, storm drains, or drainage ditches. Do not apply if
heavy rain is expected. Apply this product only to your lawn/garden.
Sweep any product that lands on the driveway, sidewalk, or street, back
onto your lawn/garden.
